Clydesdale Scullers Head
Saturday 5th October 2024
2024 RESULTS: Single Sculls (Division 1)
2024 RESULTS: Double Sculls (Division 2)
Introduced in 1967, Clydesdale Scullers Head is a processional race it was initially single sculls only but in 2007 a second division was added for double sculls.
Both race divisions are run over a 4km course on the River Clyde, from Dalmarnock to Glasgow Green. Local knowledge is an advantage, but no substitute for nerve and determination.
At Clydesdale Scullers Head your finishing position from the previous year determines your starting position for the current year. All new entries start at the back of the pack. The fastest sculler from the previous year then leads the other competitors who are set off at 10 second intervals.
